I have been travelling, and was unable to post last week. Here are the ratio charts comparing the new ETF GO GOLD to more established funds.
These are daily rather than weekly charts this time.

Later on in the bull phase the juniors are expected to outperform. In the meantime producing mines and near producers are leading.

Looks like differences were minimal this week. Overall GOAU is still the leader.
It looks like XGD.TO was the best performer this week. GDX and GDXJ both lost ground to GOAU. GDXJ was the weakest of the four ETFs this week. GOAU remains the overall leader though.

Is the new GOAU ETF a superior gold stocks performer? I’ll try to post a daily and a weekly ratio chart after market close on Fridays as long as the board finds the information useful. We will compare GOA with XGD, GDX, and GDXJ.
The daily chart will cover a one year time frame. The weekly will cover the time period from the first trading day of the GOAU ETF until present day.
The horizontal blue line on the weekly chart is the GOAU ratio close after the first week of trading. Above the blue line GOAU is out performing. Below the blue line GOAU is under performing.

As per Fully’s request here is a ratio chart of the new ETF GOAU (Go Gold) divided by the ETF XGD. The idea is to determine which ETF has the better performance.
My pencil calculations determined they performed equally near enough since Gold bottomed in Aug/Sept last year.
However, the ratio chart shows that since inception in June 2017 GOAU has gained overall on XGD.
My intention is to post the chart after market close each Friday (or on the weekend)
GOAU certainly has the name. Go Gold! You can’t beat that.

GOAU was first brought to the attention of the board by Silverboom.
Nice chart for Aussie Gold Miners. If price fulfills channel after Backtesting the major IHS NL it would hit high 16’s or low 17’s depending on time of arrival. Numbers to remember if price makes it there as a possible exit strategy for Miners.

I have always been a HUI guy …But I find this one is better ( it takes the US Dollar out of the equation)
If the dollar strengthens against the Loonie….that is positive for XGD.

PS….I have been in and out of many miners for the last few years. OUT right now.
BUT it takes a lot of time to sell and buy them all at once so I am going to just buy this ETF when it looks ripe.
I like most of the stocks in this one….and the volatility is manageable.
Also can hedge with HGD.TO the 2X Canadian Listed Bear ETF when the time is right.

After this consolidation is complete the ratio will be expected to move higher. Note a consolidation right below the major resistance line is positive for a breakout in the direction. (Classic Rambus Chartology)
Back in Jan-Feb 2016 the ratio broke out and the current correction dived back in the diamond and had touch of bottom rail.
Now the ratio has reverse the trend and looking for it to cross last years Jul- Aug high.
When ratio goes up all miners go up.
Massive HnS within Diamond Once BO next stop is higher.
Resistance held. and it needs to generate energy to go thru the mighty overhead resistance.
Individual juniors may continue higher but the weekly ratio is near resistance.
Individual equity may continue to move higher but as a sector miners may have hit the resistance here.
The weekly ratio is close to resistance and may consolidate here.
Seen these chartology patterns on historical charts. Once a break away gap price keeps moving higher??? Will repeat again ????
I took profits on my XGD.TO position as I show it wedging to a decision point here.
