Just to add to this, I have read recently (probably here!) a lot about chlolesterol being very much required for proper brain function. Really makes you wonder how much these low sodium (another one studies show has been wrong for year) and low fat diets have driven a large amount of diseases for the last couple decades.
I grew up with my mother fully bought into that low sodium, low fat grocery shopping and I have completely done a 180 on that over the last 10 years. obviously all in moderation, just not actively going for the “low” or “no” of all things.

Very much so! Scary really. Makes me glad we go through a lot of butter, eggs, red meat, 3% milk, greek yogurt, etc. in our house, especially the for the kids!
The whole “food pyramid” thing starting after WW2 was and is another big scam.
The scam was initiated by the food industry, when they paid for a report, which concluded that saturated fat is directly correlated to high cholesterol and heart disease. And that a high carb, low fat diet is heart healthy.
When in fact, the opposite is the case. For example, the Masai tribes diet is meat, fat, organs, milk and blood. High saturated animal fat. No carbs. And yet they have no heart disease, no tooth decay, none of the current chronic illnesses that exist in the west.
High saturated fat, low carb food, is what the human digestive system is designed for. Plant food is for herbivores!
