A FEMA Disaster preparedness meeting has sparked controversy after a representative of FEMA argued some Americans may require additional assistance in the aftermath of natural disasters.

FEMA Spokesperson:

“Thinking about preparedness, LGTBQIA people are already struggling.

You add a disaster on top of that and it’s just compounding on itself.

I think that’s the why of why we’re having these discussions.

We’re not paying attention to this community.”

How is this any different from saying that illegal migrants need to be rescued, fed, clothed, housed before American citizens?
