I didn’t interrupt you. It’s my time. In the early days of the present border crisis, Gloria Chavez excuse me, sir.

   It’s my time. I didn’t interrupt you. Okay? I’m not lying. You’re lying by trying to tell the American people that it’s supply and demand, and that’s why people are dying.

   It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Fentanyl was involved in 884 adolescent deaths in 20 21. In the early days of the present border crisis, Gloria Chavez, then the El Paso Sector chief patrol agent said, quote, for the first time, we’re starting to see these tactics where fentanyl is being smuggled between point ports of entry. They find ways to intimidate migrants and find ways to illegally have them transport that narcotic into the United States, end quote. The cartels overwhelm border patrol agents in one sector with a group of migrants and then push more groups and drugs across in another.

   So I guess don’t blame secretary Mayorkas and the fact that he doesn’t follow the law, blame supply and demand, and that’s why people are dying. That’s why that the cartels are smuggling narcotics across the southern border, it’s ridiculous. Sheriff Skinner, quote, it’s quite frankly a tsunami of death that is crashing into the United States over our southern border. It’s killing Americans wholesale, and it’s just another epic slaughter. Epic slaughter.

   Epic slaughter manufactured by the cartels. If you don’t secure the border, it’s going to continue. So an epic slaughter manufactured by the cartels who are allowed to come across and have operational control of the southern border because of the policies and the laws that secretary Mayorkas are breaking, but yet we are going to blame supply and demand. Well, perhaps just 2 weeks ago, when the mother of victims who were killed because of overdoses just or because of, uh, you know, being raped and mutilated by gangbangers coming over the southern border, I guess we should have just told the mom, well, sorry. It’s about supply and demand.

   We’re just not gonna do anything about this. We’re gonna allow secretary Mayorkas continue on his rampage of doing whatever he wants and not enforcing laws on the southern border and allowing people to die and allowing cities. And we’re not just talking about cities along the southern border. We’re talking about cities, counties, and states thousands of miles from the southern border who are now border states. A place like New York where you have a pretty progressive Democrat mayor who flat out has said, this crisis is going to destroy New York City.

   And, again, is destroying New York City a reason to impeach? Absolutely not. But what is a reason to impeach are the laws that secretary Mayorkas has failed to uphold, the fact that he has not upheld his oath of office and the fact that he’s allowing people on the southern border, he’s allowing these laws not to be embraced. That’s the problem that we’re dealing with. And the fact that we can’t understand that and we wanna turn around and say, well, we’re sorry people are dying, but you know what?

   Less people should do drugs. It’s about supply and demand. It’s ridiculous. Mister chairman, I yield back.”
