   Finally witnessed first hand TDS. I assume most people here experience this daily.
   I went into the Belly of the Beast the other day.

   A couple I’ve known for 15 years had me over for dinner. Both retired teachers.
   I avoided all controversial topics. It was their house after all.

   I have never discussed politics with them before although they know I didn’t take any shots.
   They are absolutely terrified of the Bird Flu. They’ve had all the seasonal shots. Blamed getting Covid after the shots on someone not wearing a mask once in Costco.

   When I praised them for keeping up to date, I mentioned that those who are following the Covid shot schedule are on #9 to be up to date, the rest are vaccine hesitant. I got blank stares.

   Obviously they quit well before as they have had multiple bouts. Some lasting weeks in bed.
   I believe they have caught on. I didn’t ask.

   The next topic was the Deplorables. The Neanderthals, the stupid and the uneducated followers of Trump. How anyone with half a brain can see the Democrats are the only choice.
   My thoughts exactly, the half brained crowd.

   Both are terrified of a return of Trump. Retribution, corruption, the end of Democracy and he will never leave. Wonder who spoon fed them that. When asked what news they follow, CNN and CBC. great unbiased choices.

   They brought up the Hunter Biden “witch hunt” regarding his personal property, the famous laptop which didn’t exist until just recently. Terrible! An invasion of privacy! Nothing about his activities in Ukraine or criminal activities. He’s a saint.

   Then the Biden ads were shown as they knew I don’t have cable TV service. To be truthful they are as well done as the Trump ads making The Donald look like a dictator, buffoon or worse.
   You would believe that Biden is the moral choice and must win or it’s all over. Not sure what would be over but I’m glad I saw them. I imagine many of you have seen them already.

   They are pro-Ukraine, pro-Palestine and pro-Migrant. Apparently Migrants only enhance the country. No crime or cost to the country. I guess they all live off Lottery winnings or something. They aren’t quite sure why when I asked about their positions. There was just no answer.

   The topic of inflation came up. All Putin’s fault. Carbon tax will solve Global Warming.
   They weren’t sure of the mechanism when asked. Hmmm….talking points with no substance.

   All this time I offered no opinion and only asked neutral questions. It was educational and informative.

   It reinforced my opinion that neither side will accept the other. Be prepared for battle! or pull up a chair with buttered popcorn and enjoy the action.

   On another note: Met a super-fit 70 yo male cyclist who took 4 shots due to his last girlfriend’s insistence. He’s not sure why he had to take them but was enamoured with this lady who he asked to move in with him. After shot three he suddenly was diagnosed with a faulty heart valve. His son suggested it was the shot. His Doc suggested he take another pre-surgical covid shot to prevent another bout of Covid. He’s had Covid or a low grade respiratory illness since the second shot and contracting covid the week of. He had an awakening after the
   surgery, kicked the lady out but not before she claimed a part of his home. She apparently rented her house out and will move back there eventually. He started recognizing all the turbo cancers and heart problems in his friend circle and wondered if they are from the shots.

   He is one of us now and is very angry with what is happening across all issues.
   Something woke him up, I’m not sure what the trigger was.
   Now that he is awake, he sees that white women his age are totally lost to this madness. I felt sorry for him as his wife passed years ago and was very normal and pleasant apparently.

   The other observation he made was that many of his heavily shotted friends have become very docile and are not focused on much of anything.

   Both sides view the other as delusional. This can not lead to a cohesive society as we all know. Divide and conquer at it’s best.

   So remember that is how they view you. They have their MSM that feeds them stuff as we have Substacks.

     It really doesn’t do much good, in my experience, to ‘discuss’ these points with people. One side argues from logic – and it’s easy for them to see why they are right. The other side argues from emotion – and it’s easy for them to see why they are right. With both sides convinced they are right, it is unusual to see any real progress made on either side.

       It was an informational evening for me. No debate from me, just questions.

       It is rare for me to experience TDS as most who I meet are for Trump and I wanted to learn why they believe what they do.

         Yep, good information for sure. Thanks for sharing that with us. You have better self-control than I do. I don’t think I could have left for the evening without expressing my opinions – which of course would have been counter-productive with friends. Well done.

     Nice investigative reporting Columbia!

     Your style / process is obviously a success as you keep getting invited to dinner.

     There “may” come a time when your opinion on such items is sought as explanation for what’s happening –> but that time has clearly not yet arrived.

     It is also insightful that you were able to gather this depth of information without revealing your position to your hosts. Very thoughtful of you but also very skillful skating through difficult discussions.

     Your summary also confirms that there really ARE some Biden voters and it’s not 100% conceived / crooked / steal.

     The “straw-that-breaks-the-camels-back” may well be that the informed view TPTB as committing outright treason — while the “emotional” have not yet figured out that what their leaders are actually doing is EXACTLY what their leaders are accusing the opposition of planning to do when electd ……….. fearmongering at it’s finest and the constant refining of propaganda techniques.

     Either way — one side will not accept the other’s victory nor believe any of the information force fed to them after the election.

     2024 has been and will continue to be interesting & wild —- but 2025 & beyond may well prove to be downright vicious….come what may on who wins!

     Whatever unfolds, we are living through fascinating times!

   At the end of the evening, I would have left a parting comment: “please don’t take my silence in reaction to your viewpoints as agreement — I was simply being considerate and trying to avoid heated arguments that would otherwise have ensued at every turn in the conversation.      True, but there was no point in telling them that as I can use them to see how things are panning out on their side as time unfolds. I have burned my bridges with Covid for all the other friends I knew and now there is no dialog on anything. We only learn by asking questions not telling them our point. We know our side.

   I don’t have a CLUE how you kept your composure…we are all different

   I would have challenged every fucking delusion…even though it doesn’t help

   PS…On the way to work today i put on the POTUS Channel on my satelite radio

   I wanted to hear what they had to say about Bidens’s Shit Storm

   All I got was a Biden Supporter ( Who has a recent book out)

   He said he is looking forward to the debate

   He hopes the undecided voters will see that Biden Still has it and Trump is still a maniac
