THE WAR ON FAMILY
There is a reason the Left are so upset about Harrison Butker’s speech about traditional family values.
Because the Left’s mission is to destroy the nuclear family, so that the individual is dependent on the State.
The Left want full control of all aspects of your life. They want both parents working, so they have more income tax to launder. They want your children being raised in their indoctrination centers known as public schools, so they can raise your children while you are at work.
The Left want to demonize your religion, so you will accept the Party as your God. They want every human isolated and without a higher purpose, so they will view serving the Party as their only purpose.
The Left’s ideology cannot coexist in a marketplace of free ideas, so they are seeking to destroy all other ideas.
The reason they are so triggered about Harrison Butker, and anyone else who speaks about traditional family values, is because they are trying to eliminate the idea of family

In liberal parlance – and I mean, truly liberal – the family was understood to be the basic building block of society. The entire impulse of collectivists, from the start, has been to destroy it. They understand its fundamental import. Our defence of the family has been lacking. Even the religious institutions of the west have failed to defend the sanctity of marriage sufficiently. I feel the tide turning. Hopefully, we are not too late!
The family as that building block is great in theory. It worked in the past, for some, maybe many.
It was critical back in the day for life on a family farm, where larger families were needed to work the land without mechanization. And given lower life expectancy, they increased the odds that one child or more would live long enough to take over the farm, and take care of their surviving parents.
In the west, that all changed after WWI, as rural America contracted. And even more so after 1960, as urban women joined the workforce.
I suspect dysfunctional families are now more the rule than the exception.
I’m not a sociologist, so I won’t boil that down any further. But its real.
Looking around, the vast majority of parents can’t handle the load even if they were inclined to try. And of course, public school agendas have been hijacked by ideology. To be honest, when I was younger, I always thought the idea (ideal) of a kibbutz was the answer. A community of parents – with shared values – sharing roles. But I’ve never examined it up close.
In the urban west, the faster pace of life along with long hours needed to make ends meet doesn’t leave sufficient time for most to handle the job.
“In the urban west, the faster pace of life along with long hours needed to make ends meet doesn’t leave sufficient time for most to handle the job.” Good points. One could obectively identify the biggest reason for that dynamic started with the 1971 dropping of gold to back the currency. It is the dollar debasement that has made it necessary for two person incomes in most families and today even that is not keeping up.,
