The most recent chapter in the ‘green’ initiative has been supermajor Shell being found to have sold ‘phantom’ carbon credits that were twice the volume of emissions the company actually avoided, according to FT.
Shell has reportedly sold millions of carbon credits, tied to CO? removal, to Canada’s main oil sands companies, despite doubts arising over the validity of the claimed emissions reductions.
Keith Stewart with Greenpeace Canada commented: “Selling emissions credits for reductions that never happened?.?.?.?literally makes climate change worse.”

Nothing worse than a global con job being conned itself and losing the opportunity to steal even more money than they already have? How can they ever reach the global depopulation targets if the conners keep getting conned???

If you have a project involving Renewal Energy mitigation and have a creative Grant writer to write up a proposal, the sky is the limit. Need to get your project concept accepted to produce Carbon Credits first, then use their approval to sell any airy-fairy idea.
Apparently, many of the accepted projects are only viable with the Carbon Credits that are earned. They need to be located in the US but these CC’s can be sold to others outside the country.
I’m working on an innovative plastic waste to renewable energy proposal to determine if a future project makes economic sense. At least my “Grant Guy” is. As long as I tell him Biden good, Trump bad, he’s my best friend :).
