Bonjour de Normandy!
At the end of last week, I flew from Armenia to France, to see some French friends before returning to Bend at the beginning of next week. So, these particularly interesting travels are nearing an end.
The taste of Armenia was enough to make me want to return another time, to explore more. It was a good taste, but next time I’ll have an International Drivers License in hand when picking up the rental car.

If I’m reading my maps correctly, Bill was in Yalta in Donetsk oblast, just 50km or so from Mariupol. Ie, what was formerly Ukraine. An American in what the west would call Occupied Territory? With a camera.
Oh, and when you spotted that couple, did any English leave your mouth?
Or were those look a likes? My recollection was that his gal pal (now married IIRC and with a child) was in considerably better shape than this one. But that was a few years ago, and we all know how that goes.
