I don’t suppose Iran’s recent announcement that it will release a gold-backed stable coin with Russia for use in trading oil has anything to do with it. Remember what happened to Libya when Ghadaffi talked about a planned gold backed African currency? Well now its going to be Irans turn to fight for its own crude oil and gold reserve currency status.
