An added thought. If the data identifies device type, an interesting analysis would be to see if the T&Cs of the device manufacturer (e.g., Apple iPhones) are being violated. I would also look to see if any privacy statutes (federal or state) are being violated. This may be bigger than the bot number.

I can see an AG like Texas AG Paxton digging into this. In fact, I think I will suggest he do so.
