Most Gold Bugs do not have any friends family co workers or acquaintances who understand Gold much less have had the foresight and fortitude to have invested in it.
But There’re coming !!!
Back during 2000-2011 I was preaching to anyone who would listen, and near the tail end sucked some family members into mining stocks. I felt so bad about “giving investment advice” that I swore that I would never do that again. And while I will give my opinion when asked, I always caveat it with “I have no idea how this will play out,” because in all honesty I don’t, and 2011-2020 reinforced that bigtime.
Last week my sister asked me if she should buy gold now. I basically told her I don’t know and to wait for a $100-200 pullback and then to only scale into a position. I thought her even asking me was a contrarian signal—you know shoe shiner boy moment—and it very well could have been. But I will still feel bad if gold really does something crazy.
Basically, I know how Noah felt.
