We have gold bugs and Bitcoin bugs and now we have USD demisers???

The U.S. Dollar is Set to Implode says Bridgewater Founder Ray Dalio
The U.S. Dollar could soon fall as much as 30% in a sell-off that could leave it looking like the bombed out Turkish Lira, according to the founder of Bridgewater Associates, the largest hedge fund in the world.
“Heard these predictions in past 10 years. They all proven to be wrong. Why this one will be any different???”

IF the US Dollar is about to drop hard because of a debt crisis How in the world does Europe not have a debt crisis at the same time
this drop in the US Dollar would have to be against the Euro…which many say is in worse shape than the USA.

Yes. Assume Dalio is right. Dollar will implode against all major currencies while they are going down faster also because of their debt problems. World has not seen this interconnected economies.
In history of US USD was doomed two times. 1933 and 1971. In 1933 dollar was devalued 80% down. Gold was fixed at $35.20 In 1971 dollar became paper currency worth nothing off the gold standard.
For gold to respond to demise of dollar then took almost 10 years to reach all time high to $800 and GSR reached 15 historical level.
But this time it is different. Gold price is tied to USD and gold (by trading) to rise may not have to wait that long.
Clue will be by SGR and Yield spreads.

Implosion of the dollar will be demise of whole world fiat based financial system. I bet 50k gold world will be very uncomfortable to live in. Just look at Venezuela.

I expect the dollar to fall from 97 to 70 or less within 5 years. Thats a 25 to 30% fall. I wouldn’t call it an implosion
