   100% agree. Yield curve can rise through contraction and crisis (short-term yields drop harder than L/T in rush for liquidity) or through inflation (long-term yields rise faster than S/T). So far, neither, which implies all’s well. I believe the unrelenting inputs Bernanke’s Fed put into the macro will eventually come out in the wash in a whopper of an inflation problem. But it is not yet indicated, aside from the recent bounce.

   Checkout Yield curve vs. SPX over last 20 years on Stockchart.com Dynamic yield curve: IN200 5207- YC was inverted and turn to steepning that was the signal for the crash in 2008. Bob Hoye.
