“I think there’s a real danger that the new prime minister is worse than the old prime minister,” Smith told reporters Thursday morning.

“I can tell you I’m not encouraged by what I’ve seen so far,” Smith said. The cancelled consumer tax is expected to be replaced with a comparable charge on industrial emitters, which will ultimately be passed on to consumers. “We’ve got a lawless federal government.”
