Key figures include Irving Kristol, Norman Podhoretz, Paul Wolfowitz, and Richard Perle, who helped shaped this movement that gained prominence during the George W. Bush administration, particularly after 9/11 with the Iraq War and the “War on Terror.” They also support Israel as a strategic ally and believe in American primacy. They are US-centric and see America as the world’s enforcer of a liberal order. Neoconservatives are not globalists, but there is some overlap.
