One of the things that I find ridiculous in much American commentary about their allies, is the notion that they live in the rarefied world of American protection, that they cheat America by not purchasing enough shitty American military hardware. Who exactly are Americans protecting Canadians from? Do we Canadians buy the pathetic F35s to protect us from the Russians? Why the fuck would the Russians invade us? Even if they lost their minds and did so, the fucking F35s wouldn’t protect us. It’s a flying pig! The only country that would conceivably attack Canada is the U.S. I know it’s not likely, unless we get out of hand – and honestly, how likely is that? Now let’s do Europe. Is their a war in Ukraine because they threatened Europe, or because Europe threatened them. Last time I looked the Warsaw Pact had long ago disbanded, and NATO expanded right up to the Russian border. Look out England, that hibernating bear looks dangerous! The most recent protectorate of America is Ukraine. Think about it!
