If Rand had prevailed, locking in DOGE cuts, H bill would have returned to H for a total redo.
Threatening passage of a house bill. And then R’s get “the credit” for shutdown.
Now with H & S passage of similar bills, MJ and JT get to ‘resolve’ differences in the H & S bills.
Will that follow T’s vision, or UniParty Grift inclinations? Don’t know.
Also … rightfully or wrongfully, a shutdown was viewed as IMPAIRING further DOGE cuts.
So .. upside, keep it running, keep shining a spot light, and let OMB Treasury or whomever, impede authorized spending.
My take on DOGE, is that they’ve merely IDENTIFIED programs with abuse, but haven’t closed the valves (in every case).
Not clear to me that DOGE has THAT authority.
SO … OR … the Grift goes on until Sept, when a real MAGA budget is passed.
