There was no reason to cover this up for a month. No one would care less if a small, relatively harmeless, medical device with probably less radiation exposure than getting an x-ray was revealed, when it occurred. It would have been an interesting news item that would have faded in a day. The DEMs and deepstate used it to create a firestorm.
