Syria’s Assad has fallen – just as the Pentagon planned 23 years ago
When westerners see ‘enemy’ governments fall, or civil wars erupt, they are led to think they are the geopolitical equivalent of a natural event. Nothing could be further from the truth
The long-harboured aspirations of the US, Turkey and Israel to topple the Syrian government, mainly through their rebranded al-Qaeda allies, succeeded at lightning speed.
Were western publics not so deeply influenced by years of disinformation from their politicians and media, they might by now be starting to see a bigger picture gradually coming into focus.
Iran, now isolated from allies in Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon, will have to think what other resources it can bring to the game. The voices calling for it to forego religious scruples and develop a nuclear weapon, to neutralise Israel’s existing arsenal, will grow much louder.
And, finally, China is only too aware that, in seeking to weaken and isolate Russia and Iran, the US is ultimately gunning for it. There can be no “full-spectrum global dominance” until China is cornered – until Washington can declare, “checkmate”.

“Full spectrum global dominance”! What’s this guy smoking? Washington couldn’t dominate Afghanistan goat herders!
Iran won’t develop a nuclear weapon. They understand that Israel will preemptively hit them with their nukes if they do. So they won’t. Israel and the US are crazy! Mr. Cook should have listened to Putin’s speech a few days ago. He told the world that Russia didn’t need to revamp its nuclear doctrine anymore. What Russia will do is deploy variations of the Oreshnik missile. He was telling all with ears to hear that nuclear weapons will soon not be needed. The capability of such weapons are as devastating as nuclear strikes without the attendant problems. In the next few weeks Russia and Iran will sign a military alliance. You don’t need to be a military strategist to figure out that Iran will soon be protected by Oreshnik missiles, probably deployed on Russian bases in Iran.
By the way, the US and Israel are too cowardly to take Iran on militarily. They will go the colour revolution route. No doubt, they’ve been working on it for years. Frankly, Iran is more vulnerable to this tactic than they are to kinetic attack from either country.
