Brazil has Banned X AND has made VPNs Illegal….this is a nightmare
Could it happen in YOUR Country ?

Minor clarification — Brazil has deemed access of “X” via VPN to be illegal and subject to $9,000US per day fine.
VPN’s themselves are still legal — just not using them for “X”.
How they would ever know is a different interesting question……….

Apparently ExpressVPN precludes your ISP or anyone from seeing what you are browsing
Some other generic VPNs do not .
Yes I have been a Tor user for years because of all the internet controls and limitations in Ethiopia. My tip for you is to make sure you have Tor installed and tested long before an actual problem comes along since getting a copy can itself be almost impossible once the noose tightens on the internet. Otherwise it does work and can get you past censorship and kill switch blocks but it does not work in every situation and can also be very slow at times.
