From Spencer Fernando

The Liberals have had nothing but bad weeks for months. But even so, this past week was among the worst.

The Federal Court of Canada ruled the Liberal government violated the Charter of Rights & Freedoms with their imposition of the Emergencies Act. Immediately after the ruling, former Liberal justice minister David Lametti – who was in that role when the Emergencies Act was imposed – deleted his Twitter account and then announced he was resigning.

Then, the Liberal decision to renew funding for UNRWA in Gaza – which former Prime Minister Stephen Harper had cut – looked even more horrendous than before, after UNRWA fired 12 staffers who were accused of directly participating in Hamas’ horrific terror attack on Israel.

And to cap it all off, eco-Communist Steven Guilbeault was reduced to whining pathetically after being criticized at a political event in Alberta.

At a surreal and frankly embarrassing press conference, Guilbeault and three other Liberal ministers tried every divisive trick in the book to turn Canadians against each other.

Yes, the same Steven Guilbeault who infringed on the private property of then-Alberta Premier Ralph Klein in 2002, and the same Steven Guilbeault who has targeted the Western Canadian energy sector for destruction, is now whining about being criticized, claiming it’s “political violence.”

But as pathetic as Guilbeault’s whining is, it is also very dangerous, because it shows how the Liberals plan to respond to their collapsing support as an election gets closer and closer.

The Liberals are now in “burn it all down” mode, as they try everything to make Canada more divided and chaotic in the hope it will resurrect their horrendous poll numbers.

What this means is that rather than change course, rather than listen to the concerns of Canadians, they’re going to keep doubling down. They’re going to keep trying to demonize and delegitimize all of us who criticize them, and they’re going to keep trying to buy off more and more of the media.

Even with the public turning against them, the Liberals (and their submissive NDP lackeys) still hold tremendous power, because they still control the federal government. Thus, the more desperate they become, the more dangerous they become.

And so, we must remain vigilant. We must remain committed to the fight for freedom and the fight for Canadian values.
