You know whats worse that the Climate Talk all day every day ?
F**king December in Canada
Cold but not cold enough for snow , Damp , Dark …No sun during the meagre 7 hours of “day’ light …even the weather channel app on my watch says “DREARY” when you look at the forecast …Ha
and every day the “dreary daylight” gets snuffed out into darkness earlier and earlier . presently sundown is 4:44 PM
Someone needs to do sometning about this.. I am sure its man made..it’s never been so dark in dreary here.
Screw this . We need to start a movement , for brighter and longer days ..

LOL, I live in the BC Interior populated by ranchers and resource types who vote Conservative. We call it the Wild West.
FGC, I’ve heard variations of your complaint about Nov-Dec from several people. I have my own ritual on these short and dark days; I don’t know if it would help you, but I like it. You could say it’s a take on the Danish concept of Hygge. When the sun goes down, around 4pm. I draw all the drapes and turn on some table or floor lamps. These remain lit through dinner and into the evening, where I make sure to have a stack of CD’s to play and at least one good book to read. Or puzzles to do. There is always my favourite tea available too. I’m equally content whether it’s November or July.
And the early darkness is an invitation for an earlier bedtime, so invest in some good-quality bedding that you love.

P.S. it’s true, Columbia remains at home in the Wild West. It’s me who is currently smack in the middle of woke-central (Vancouver). What can I say…even though the people piss me off, I love the energy of a big city 🙂

It really does say “Dreary” when you check the forcast…so i looked around and sure enough ….Dreary
