   Thanks for sending the Louis CK piece. That’s one I’ve shared with various people all over the world. It’s a good reminder to be amazed.

   Our ease of communication is always amazing to me, too! But I’m also amazed by such basic stuff as when I flush the toilet, the shit goes somewhere and gets taken care of, even when I’m in a high-rise building. Or just driving down a road, anywhere, it amazes me to consider everything that it took for the road to be there and for me to be in a car, getting liquid energy from ‘stations’ by giving pieces of paper or just waving a piece of plastic. How cool is that?! And everything else. Yeah, keep on being amazed.

   That sauna story is one that I will eventually share in a SmugMug description. It was such a good encounter. Added onto that one was another cool encounter yesterday morning, at the ‘Bottle House’ in the same town as where I met the happy man in the sauna. At the Bottle House, which you’ll one day see in a gallery, the man spoke no English, but he kept asking me my job in Russian. I kept saying no job, trying to make it easy, but he kept persisting, guessing various professions. At some point, the guess was ‘doctor’, to which I replied, Yes, I’m a doctor. Doctor of Champagne!

   The man burst out laughing because he had shown me vodka and champagne bottles that were used in the art of the house. There’s a very long story behind all this, from one of my visits to the Soviet Union. The short of it is that the Russian men tried to get me to drink vodka, but I told them I was allergic to it, to keep from ever having to drink with the alkies. The first time this happened, in 1990, I immediately saw some champagne after having just declined the vodka. Itook a glass and when I took a sip, the guys went berserk, saying champagne was ‘vomen’s da-rink’.

   Well, when I saw the champagne bottles built into the Bottle House, I let the guy know that was my favorite drink and he said the exact same thing. We had both laughed about that. Then when I said I was a Doctor of Champagne, he split his gut laughing! It was so funny. Every time he looked at me, he said Doctor Champagne and laughed. We had a good time, drank tea and ate rose petals in sweet pose syrup, which is about as addictive as cocaine.

   As far as reminders, I may already have shared with you that in addition to the Abraham-Hicks daily quote, I also get daily reminder emails from TUT and White Bison. Essentially, they are the same as Abraham-Hicks, but totally different language, different styles. TUT is funny and clever, while White Bison gives a Native American slant on life. They are good.

   The White Bison message yesterday tied in perfectly with what Columbia wrote and how expertly many Tenters express knowing exactly how life should be and who should be doing -or not doing- whatever. Of course, it’s easy to get caught up in that way of thinking and expressing, but it’s very dangerous to self. I may not like what some SOBs do, yet in spite of that I am thankful they are part of the mix of the full spectrum. Life would be dull without them! And everyone else. If everything and everybody were like some people think they would like, there would be no joy in traveling the world like I do because it would be one big boring blob of sameness. I’d check out. Instead, I’m happy to be amazed by it all, as Louis CK reminds me.

   Anyway, I’ll forward the White Bison message to you, so you know what I’m referring to.

   A spiritual person needs to be careful. The more confident we are, the more likely our egos
   will get us into trouble. It’s relatively easy to become self-righteous. We start to think we
   are teachers and others are students. We start to judge others. We start, very subtly at first,
   to play God. After a while we really get good at it. This is very dangerous. We need to
   remind ourselves, we are here to do God’s will. We need to pray every morning. Each day
   we need to check in with God to see what He would have us do. At night we need to spend
   time with God and review our day. By doing these things, we will stay on track.

   My Creator, guide my path and show me how to correct my life.
