“they are fighting this war, we [the Europeans] are not fighting it.”
In yet another instance of a Western official speaking the quiet part out loud, the Netherlands’ defense minister issued some controversial remarks on Wednesday wherein she referred to supporting Ukraine as a “cheap” way to ensure Europe’s security.
“It is a very cheap way to make sure that Russia with this regime is not a threat to the NATO alliance.”

Imagine that …. celebrating the cheap cost of death and dismemberment …. it’s not MY countries sons & daughters dying …
All of our leaders engage continuously in virtue signalling. This piece of garbage demonstrates their actual moral worth. War crime tribunals can’t come fast enough.
While not defending her I think what she was trying to say was that those who are complaining about sending money and weapons should stop doing so because it is Ukraine who is paying with their blood. She either didn’t do a very good job of making her point or the media twisted it to make her comments worse than they were.(Maybe a bit of both)
