Get ready for the next phase of the government’s war on thought crimes: mental health round-ups and involuntary detentions.
In communities across the nation, police are being empowered to forcibly detain individuals they believe might be mentally ill, based solely on their own judgment, even if those individuals pose no danger to others.
While these programs are ostensibly aimed at getting the homeless off the streets, when combined with advances in mass surveillance technologies, artificial intelligence-powered programs that can track people by their biometrics and behavior, mental health sensor data (tracked by wearable data and monitored by government agencies such as HARPA), threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, precrime initiatives, red flag gun laws, and mental health first-aid programs aimed at training gatekeepers to identify who might pose a threat to public safety, they could well signal a tipping point in the government’s efforts to penalize those engaging in so-called “thought crimes.”
As the AP reports, federal officials are already looking into how to add “‘identifiable patient data,’ such as mental health, substance use and behavioral health information from group homes, shelters, jails, detox facilities and schools,” to its surveillance toolkit.
Make no mistake: these are the building blocks for an American gulag no less sinister than that of the gulags of the Cold War-era Soviet Union.
Americans are lucky enough to have a guiding document that defines government limitations. I would advise them to be most insistent as regards these limitations, and I would council them to press forward in freedoms designed to always err on the side of liberty. That is to say, whenever there is a question as to whom the benefit of the doubt should go, it should certainly go to the citizen, and not the government! Modesty in the application of government power is essential to a free society, else freedom lovers turn to the same power to ensure their liberty.

Speaking of mental health round-ups, I would agree that is also a risk for Canadians in the future. I am referring to those the government considers its enemies. Arrest warrants have a higher standard to pass before arrests andi ncarceration can proceed. But under the mental health act its a seamless procedure to take individuals into custody for indeterminate periods of time without having to meet ordinary legal standards. Under the mental health act you do not automatically get to consult with a lawyer. This may be what is behind the trend in Canadian provinces to do away with the requirement for a dual signature system for committals. Under the traditional system, authorities needed the certification of a psychiatrist as well as that of a concerned party such as a law enforcment officer in order to lock someone up. But the new way of doing things is with a single signature. A policeman could sign that. A judge could sign it. A psychiatrist could sign it. But the point is only one signature is now needed in some jurisdictions. Saskatchewan is one of those and I belive Manitoba may be another. So the aspect of a check and balance is now gone. And that is something every Canadian needs to be aware of as the day may come they will be locked up against their will with little recourse and no second opinion even needed to keep them locked up.
With the growing number of people in the “fringe minority who hold unacceptable views” regarding Covid in Canada, they would have to lock up most of the population.
Last evening, met a few random strangers at the dog park who with little to no prompting came out with very negative views on the shots and The Turd. Last Summer there was silence. Now they are obviously angry about being forced to take a medical intervention. Wished they could give them back.
Just have to mention Net-Zero or Climate Lockdowns and one hears the same negative views. They do need prompting on this subject though. It’s beginning that more people will initiate the climate scam conversation. Not meeting many who agree with The Turd and his Agenda 2030 or is it now Agenda 2026. I believe they have to speed up the bizarre policies meant to destroy Western Civ before the masses overthrow the tyrants.
We are in the calm before the storm and I believe the WEF and their followers know this. How long before it breaks?
