GOOD TIMES YIELD WEAK MEN
Comfortism is the belief that we are entitled to remain unmolested by minor inconveniences or emotional challenges, and that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that comfort, no matter what the cost. We are ready and willing to give up our financial security, our physical health, and our potential for personal growth for this comfort. We are ready to toss aside our capitalist economist system (the foundation of our financial strength) as well as our constitution to guarantee our comfort around what is ultimately inconsequential.
I’m not sure why people talk about our capitalist system. We don’t have a capitalist system. Even the term capitalist is a marxist word for free enterprise. We live in fascist times. Left/right analysis misses the point entirely.
To prove a point, which enterprises were shut down during the covid mania? That’s right, small businesses. And which enterprises remained open for business, and increased their profits substantially? You got it! Huge multi-national corporations who finance our political parties. That didn’t happen by accident.
I should add that most small businesses behaved shamefully during that embarrassing period. Willing lambs being led to the slaughter, often while lecturing the more astute among us about public health, selfishness and ignorance.
