we’re not in Kansas anymore, nor in Istanbul
Greetings from You Know Where!
With all that momentum behind me, you didn’t really think I’d stay in Istanbul, did you?! A few hours after arriving there on Thursday afternoon, I took yet one more flight – to Moscow!
It was a long trip to get from Bend, Oregon to Moscow, but I had slept fairly well on the planes. That was good, because my arrival time was 6 AM and a Muscovite friend had plans for me that filled the whole day. Today was also full, with more plans for tomorrow and Monday. As I’ve said more than a few times, this life is too interesting, so I’ll sleep in some other lifetime.
This link is to a few photos from the first day in Moscow:

Make sure you get enough sleep, but not too much!

If You see Putin…Give him a Bear Hug for me
You can count on it.
And Snowden.
GB…While you were flying Idaho Voted to Annex Eastern and Southern Oregon
Not sure which side Bend is of the new Line …hopefully You are Not in Oregon anymore ๐
Yeah, I saw that. No doubt Idaho would want the landscape, but not the starry-eyed blue-brained people that populate the town.
And, just so you know, I don’t mind saying that we’re both in good company, as I can’t stop laughing either! Life is bizarre and I’m laughing (sometimes like a lunatic) while catching a long & crazy ride on this big wave.
It seems appropriate for me to add that I bought the hat I’m wearing in the photo in 2015, in Kiev:

Russia a land of culture and history that went through a dark period but emerged stronger.
Keep the photos coming. Much appreciated.
Thanks, Columbia. I’m not sure I would agree that Russia “…went through a dark period”, as it’s not at all clear to me that it has completely gone through anything. It appears to me that the process is still underway. I would be more inclined to say Russia HAS a long, rich and tragic, or dark, history, yet continues to persevere.
I’m now with my Muscovite friend. I showed her what I wrote and she completely agrees with my views.
With the way things are heading, Moscow might be a safe bet. They, at least, have bomb shelters for their citizens and a hardened electrical grid to protect from EMPs.
Just as I have no desire to experience earthquakes, I have zero interest in bomb shelters, etc. I like thriving!
