Depending on the quality and pedigree of the eggs, you can pay anywhere from $5 to $7 per dozen.
Meanwhile, the middlemen (egg distributors) have been accused of extreme price gouging, while the egg producers are being squeezed.
Is this not a statement of how commerce works in Amerika?
The BLS (U.S. federal agency) has been gaslighting the people of the U.S. for 40+ years regarding consumer price inflation,
while keeping interest rates much lower than they should have been, driving up certain asset prices (real estate and stocks).
Now many citizens can’t afford to eat and/or keep a roof over their heads.
These are the predictable consequences of dishonest weights and measures.
