How come we have all kinds of laws on the books regarding monopolistic practices in ownership of corporations, industry concentration etc. but nothing pertaining to concentration of ownership when it comes to farmland? It is high time the new congress investigate this and put limits on how much farmland in any given state and collectively overall, that individuals, and entities they control can own.
