Published 1997.  Very prescient.  I gave a presentation (book review) in 2007 at a historical society meeting in New England.   A few people walked out and thought I was crazy when I mentioned the possibility of a financial crisis in 2008 (book prediction) and what could follow.  Well, that was the start of the GFC.  The authors predicted just such a crisis but did not know what form it would be.

I suggest one takes the time to read this book.   Howe and Strauss have been bang on their predictions so far.  Howe is still alive and gives interviews.  A new book is coming out in 2023.

The year 2025 appears to be the climax year.    War is the only way forward.  It will be a cleansing.   Debt, societal problems, etc. Human nature never changes.   History does repeat in cycles.  We never appear to learn from the past.  The Climate change agenda (WEF: The Great Reset) is attempting to make a rapid transition to failed renewable energy while eliminating our reliable carbon based energy.  We are about to see the effects in Europe this Winter. It will take down industry, then the residential users.

Avoid the cities, rural is best, know your neighbours, try to be as self-sufficient as possible.  We all have time to research what is best for our own situation.

Be optimistic, as long as you have your wits about you, you can plan.  Humanity has survived similar challenges.
