Caught off guard
I called my computer guy today to see if he could do some clean up on my computer. We are chatting, he was looking me up – last time he came to my house that was in 2019. I asked if he still did house calls – his quick, fearful response – if you are totally vaccinated and boosted. Man that caught me off guard. Not so much that he asked, but how obviously ingrained in his DNA it is. Not my first thought (or 2nd, or 3rd….) when I ask someone to come over. We will be working remotely which is fine by me…
Lost a co worker this week – he was 46 years old with a young family, sudden heart attack.
SHEESH !
I’ve been saying that a lot lately – …
I’m camping in the Okanagan in a nice setting in a working Apple orchard at the moment.
Nice trails by the lake.
I have a retired friend who never answers his phone. Maybe Covid comes over the line. Wanted to cycle a few days with him.
Of all coincidences, I meet him on the trail of all places. We crossed paths and I yell out his name. We will ride tomorrow.
He and his wife still won’t have anyone to their house. They are double boosted and had Covid since. He had Covid really bad this Summer.
Wears masks in stores. Thankfully he didn’t have one on for riding. Sheesh!
He is 100% invested in the Covid cult. Sheesh!
I am shocked that he will ride with me. I won’t be allowed in his house as his wife is more invested.
Only death will free them from this cult.
I live down here in North Carolina and have had a few people come to the house for plumbing heating/cooling and I have not seen a mask in well over a year.
I recently went to visit my daughter just starting her doctoral program at Chapel Hill.
That town …. minus the partying frat crowds … seems to have bought in to the madness. But not as bad as Boston where she was before.
And you probably aren’t in AVL either.
Further up in the mtns though, or in the more independent minded smaller towns, you are correct. I’ll be back there next summer, myself.
Gawd I wish Bumbling Biden would open the damn border. I’d be moving down in a heartbeat. I could do N Carolina or any of the more northerly red states.
Vancouver is still rife with Branchies. Still seeing plenty of f***ing face rags alone in their cars, riding bikes and scooters, parading around the stores. And the pool. They wear the damn things IN the pool sometimes. Or take them off and set them on their flip flops just before entering the water.
Last week I saw a woman walking down Main St wearing not only a mask but a full face shield on top.
I would say between 35-40% of the population here is wearing the damn things at all times
There is a brain disease on the west coast…I am convinced
California Oregon Washington Vancouver
Here there are maybe 2% max who are masked
A friend in Toronto says maybe 10% max
Agree!
