YUGOSLAVIA
The Former Yugoslavia was carved up into many small “Nations” after the Brutal War in the 90s
Most of us know very little about the Geography of the Area. It is fascinating to me to see
How many different ethnicities and languages were under the umbrella of Yugoslavia with of course was part of the Soviet Black during the cold war.
There is a Place on this map that I have never heard of

This looks rather unstable to me with all these factions having different allegiances and I am sure still wounds simmering under the surface .
I like the idea of smaller, independent, even homogeneous, nations. They tend to mind their own business and look after their own interests. When they ally themselves with larger, more powerful forces they get ensnared in the schemes of the hegemon – their interests become secondary, their influence diminished.
Agree. The universe is decentralized. Nature is decentralized. For a good reason. Anti fragility.
Centralized systems are fragile, as history has taught us.
But this time is “different” they say. Fools.
My nephew is high up in the Canadian navy and told me months ago to be on the lookout for this area to flare up big time.
