As far as the Ukraine is concerned, the situation is absolutely beyond negotiation. Russia will determine it’s status, with Russia’s security being the primary concern. It is the status of NATO, and the west’s acceptance of the multi-polar world that Putin is still willing to discuss. Hopefully, the U.S. will come to it’s senses, and begin to treat both Russia and China as legitimate and equal powers. If not, war awaits – a war the west will lose decisively.
Reminds me of the old saying — “flogging a dead horse”.
They desperately need a war to hide the financial “rape and pillage” — whether they win or lose the war is irrelevant as long as they can make the global collapse look like it was caused by someone else.
If it ends up in “one world government” than that’s a bonus for TPTB as it avoids the guillotines!

The USA and NATO are already at war with Russia.
The issue now is do they back off or ramp it up.
It appears they have elected to do the latter.
And as you say, a war they will lose.
And that is the biggest risk for all of us, as they may try to save face, and go nuclear.
