Most of us felt the PTB wanted the Covid bullshit to go on as long as possible, what we propably didn’t realize is that they guaranteed it would last as long as it takes for all the vaxed to eventually die. That is why they pressed so hard for so long(and are still doing so) to get as many vaxed and boosted as possible. It may ebb and flow but it isn’t going away.
