Putin and the WEF
“Whereas I won’t speculate as to whether or not Putin is working in concert with the WEF, what seems clear is that he is implementing many if not all of the measures WEF advocates to control populations. In my mind, even if Putin is not in league with the WEF, ultimately he is no better for the masses than the countries that are controlled by WEF policies.” — Goldballoon
I agree totally, GB. That is my conclusion. I see the current trend is toward tyranny and dictatorship, censorship and terror, and I believe that Putin is quite happy with friends like the CCP and Iran because they are run by fellow dictators. There is right now so little support for democracy and free speech by world leaders. The difference between the WEF and the countries it controls on the one hand and the CCP and Putin on the other is minimal. I like to call it the Dictator Club. That is why I do not see Putin as some kind of hero trying to bring freedom to the world. That idea in my opinion is completely absurd.
I understand you concern of course North
But Putin at least is not saying Own Nothing be happy
Russians will NOT go back to Communism .
I had a long discussion with my dental assistant and her husband.
They have been here for 10 years . And now preparing to go back to Russia.
Putin is very popular there apparently
There is a large and prosperous middle class there now . They support him and his war.
We are still thinking of Russia and the Balkan States as if it were the Cold War Era.
They have more freedoms and rights now …more than we have here in Canada I would say
PS….If I had a choice to vote for a leader… The Turd vs The Vlad. I wouldn’t have to think twice
Putin did not try to force the vacine on his citizens. He clearly stated it was an individual choice .
He has also come out strongly against the Woke Insanity.
If the issue were only the voting for a leader, I’d also vote for Vlad. But, it’s a system we get to vote for. In spite of the reality of capture of all the agencies and thus so many minds in the US, I’d still vote for the US Constitution as being the best available system I am aware of. The Constitution is an incredible creation, but it requires involvement by enough citizens to keep it in force. Because that hasn’t happened, has the Constitution effectively been lost, or can we get back to it being enforce as intended? I dunno, but getting back to the Constitution appears to me to be the best option available, on this level of life.

Agree, both that Putin isn’t a hero but especially that there is little difference in the control, censorship and authoritarianism of the WEF ideals implemented in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia etc.
We’re in general agreement on the basics, North, not on this part: “I believe that Putin is quite happy with friends like the CCP and Iran because they are run by fellow dictators.”
There’s no way for me to know for sure, but my understanding is that Putin would not have independently chosen the alignment with CCP, etc., but has been literally forced by the west into this alignment. For sure, Putin knows he can’t trust Xi, so there’s no joy there. Same with Iran, there’s no way Putin is “happy” with them and especially their aspirations to have nukes.
In the current situation centered on Ukraine, the west is definitely the villain. The western idiots have been pushing for and are drooling over the idea of WWIII and the use of horrible weapons, in their greedy push to attain global control. As I’ve said, Putin is no angel, but he might be the best thing going in this case, as he might be the one person who singularly can figure out how to keep us from the destruction of humanity. Interesting times…
Yup, western policies from the mid 90s on, at a time when Russia actively sought to join the West (on what terms I don’t know), were rebuffed. The neocons back then were more concerned with keeping Russia from rebuilding into a geopolitical superpower once again, than it was about the consequences for the world of an isolated and outcast Russia intent on self determination and survival. Western attitudes toward Germany, Japan and Italy (our adversaries) after WWII were diametrically opposite our approach to Russia after 1989 (our WWII ally).
If there is more history to be written about this period, I have no doubt that Putin will be cast in a positive light, even if its relative. I sense that James Baker probably took the higher road, but others after him completely missed the boat. I’d like to know, if anyone out there does, who led the way toward that missed opportunity for an enduring peace dividend. Was it Kissinger, Brzezinski, who else was involved?

The above statement made is beyond reality and missing the point completely. Let’s frame in a way that matches up with the current conflict & facts which are freedom from the Davos global agenda. The history of Ukraine and the US/NATO encroachment objective to take down Russia is indisputable. Are you familiar with the Project for New American Century (PNAC). Basically, it interleaves with Davos which would control Eurasia. Much of the links provided in previous posts by members (i.e., Oliver Stone Documentaries/Ukraine-Putin interviews) if reviewed in their entirety would make that point clear. Russia’s national security and survival as a nationalist country is hanging in the balance. Putin is clearly a nationalist at this point in time and has been since the days following Yeltsin. Last summer mandates were enforce but since then zero control mandates(i.e., vaccines, masks, QR code passport). Ask yourself if you were a leader of a country with only 143 million that spans 11 time zones would you want to reduce your population further? At this point in time my view is he is not controlled opposition and Russia’s survival is a matter of paramount importance. NATO is beating the war drums more each day and whether there will be a Eurasian bloc with China as the lead only time will tell.
Are you speaking from a position of authority with credentials to back up your claims?
Where exactly do you draw the conclusion in the areas pasted below regarding Russian affairs? CNN, MSNBC?
Have you ever been to Russia and if so provide the years you have visited and place of visitations?
The world he believes in includes execution of political opponents, censorship, digital tracking, etc. So we have the WEF brand of tyranny and slavery, and we have the Putin brand of the same.
Just like Putin needs more land to protect Russia. Same excuses for a murderous maniac who kills his own citizens because they disagree with his policies and tramples neighbouring countries because they do not bow to his ideas. His fear of the West, Nato, and the WEF are overblown and give him an excuse to create a new Russian empire. He already has a commanding interest in the Middle East, with battalions in Syria, subs in the Mediterranean, and a coalition with Iran. That went well, so now he is trying his next “nationalist” sortie.
Boy, a lot of nonsense about Ukraine all over the place.
As I asked my friend yesterday, who is all for “supporting” Ukraine and sending them weapons to fight those bastard Russians and that evil man Putin, and how badly he feels for the Ukraine people: Where were those feelings as we destroyed Iraq? How about all those civilians we wiped out in Afghanistan? Any tears for them? Or how about Libya, where the USA literally removed a leader who had led his country to prosperity, and plunged the nation into a depressive mess? Any bad feelings or sorrow for those poor slobs? Or how about Yugoslavia/Serbia which we bombed almost to the stone age? That little sortie thing where we intentionally bombed the Chinese Embassy? And feelings about that mess? Or how about removing the leader of Panama for no good reason? Illegally sending in armed forces to a sovereign nation to remove someone we didn’t like but had almost literally put into office? Or how about all those economies in South America that we intentionally wreck? Anyone remember a little excursion into Viet Nam – with over 50,000 dead American soldiers and wide swaths of butchered civilians?
Putin’s speeches are clear – he explains what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. All the crap that makes Putin to be the “bad guy” is orchestrated propaganda by Western media. If Putin is so bad, why is he so popular in Russia?
Wait for it: the apology from the US government (Biden would do) for hitting a large family with a drone bomb upon withdrawal from Afghanistan – where, by the way, thousands are still stranded behind enemy lines.
Until the U.S. cleans its own house, it has no moral leg to stand on. It also has zero legal leg to stand on. And finally, it has no constitutional leg to stand on.
Ukraine is none of our business, despite overthrowing the former government and making it the money laundering capitol of the world, complete with illegal bio labs. Yup, we did that, not the Ukrainians. Time the the U.S.A. to mind its own business, as the constitution calls for it to do.
We, as citizens, should be more concerned with bringing to justice our own enormous collection of traitors rampant throughout all levels of government and the cretins who run the deep state that still calls the shots. We, as citizens, should be far more concerned about closing the southern border than a bunch of yahoos in Ukraine the we put in power and then violated our own treaties with Russia over many years. Sit down, shut up, clear out our own criminal element laced throughout our own government and institutions and close the southern border. THEN we might have a soapbox to stand on. Till then, sit down and shut up.
Well, that about sums it up in a clear concise fashion and lest we not forget:

Yeah, Boomer, you so eloquently filled in some of the details of a comment I made in a post yesterday: “In my view, the best bet is still for Americans to throw off the bastards and re-take our country.”
There are so many treasonous people in the US, government officials and private citizens, I wonder what we would do with them all…
