On February 7, 2019 Ukraine approved an amendment that imposed duties on the Rada (legislature), the President, and the Cabinet of Ministers to gain “full-fledged membership of Ukraine in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization”

Yes this is true but understand the context. Ukraine gave up all its nuclear arsenal in 1994 and signed an agreement with Russis, USA, China and France(i think). They gave Ukraine a guarantee that it sovereignty and borders will always be protected.
Since that time Ukraine has been a “neutral” territory, it did not want to join NATO only be part of EUs economic zone.
In 2014 Putin invaded and grabbed what he could, and the war started in the eastern parts.
Sometime after that Ukraine modified it’s constitution for full integration with EU and NATO.
Now Putin’s propaganda in full force spreading lies.
Btw, and now Putin want’s gurantee that ukr will never join NATO lol. Well if it wasnt for his bullshit games we would never be here. Ukraine cannot give this to him since they were cheated once already and the west is no better.
The only way ukraine goes back to “neutral” status now is with some kind of hard core contract between, west, russia, china, etc. where it cant be broken again.
