lend a helping hand
Earlier this month, I posted in a comment a link to photos and a brief description of my 2015 visit to Ukraine (https://balloonbill.smugmug.com/Other/Ukraine-November-2015/). In that description is mention of an unplanned encounter in Kiev with a Brazilian friend, Aricio, and his Polish girlfriend, Joanna.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, they stayed in Kiev for the first few days, then she went to be with family in Krakow while he went to Lviv. Now, they’ve been collecting anything they can that might prove helpful in Kiev, where he will return to the day after tomorrow. They’re also helping organize all sorts of things, basically whatever is needed.
For anyone who wants to directly support my friends in helping people in need in Ukraine, it can be done through this link:

I vouch for their integrity.

A Noble Couple Indeed
Nice photos. The streets and buildings in Kamianets-Podilskyi were my favorites. Slightly overgrown and rustic places have a real charm to them, more human, lived-in and natural maybe. I was in Bucharest once back in ’92 in October and it felt just like being at home in Ontario because the weather and climate was the same. Everything else was quite different. It must have been easy for Ukrainians to come to Canada and live. I’ll bet many parts of the Ukraine are just like here.
