Who Has The Gold
Interesting article. He makes many good points, most of which I agree with. The two I disagree about, are the likelihood that the US has any significant amount in Ft. Knox or any US depository and that China benefits by low balling how much they have. Since they are not the reserve currency(yet), and they manipulate the Yuan by setting interest rates and daily amounts of conversions, it wouldn’t be any advantage or disadvantage to acknowledge how much they have. It would only matter if and when they decide to back the Yuan with their gold which would end up with them becoming the reserve currency very quickly, if no other large economic power did the same. https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/whos-got-gold
Does someone have a more accurate number.
Last year I read that if we gave every living person on earth equal amounts of gold, how much would each have?
The answer was just under 1 oz of gold. I know it’s difficult to account for all the above ground gold that has been mined.
Gold is very rarely consumed, unlike silver.
