There seems to be an inordinate delay in Biden announcing his decision on FED Chair. He already waited, to basically the last minute to have both Powell and Brainard visit the White House last week. The decision has been made and now they are finessing the announcement. I see two reasons for the delay, one favorable to Powell and the other Brainard. If Powell is going to be reappointed, Biden wanted to wait for his two projects to be voted on because he didn’t want to lose progressives support, they don’t want Powell back. If he goes with Brainard, it ends the stock market rally, at least for the short term. Not sure which way it goes but since they need an excuse for why the market is going to sell off and they are trying to do everything possible to destroy the economy and the country, I lean slightly, to the pick being Brainard.
