“6. “Were gold and silver useful?
Yes. I personally traded all the gold in the house for ammunition.”

A civilian from the Bosnian war giving his boy scout tips on how to survive in total chaos.
Pretty sobering, but it might explain the stockpiling of weapons and ammo. He said that was the most important thing to have. He sounds very convincing.
I think I found it from another posting here. Goldtent really is still one of the best places to keep up to date.
Guns and ammo are still an “American thing”, mostly because of the second amendment to the constitution, but once guns were “a thing” all through the freedom loving world. I grew up in Quebec and our family, like many others, had a host of guns. No AK’s or AR’s, but shotguns, 22’s, pellet guns and BB guns for the kids. This paranoia about guns became prevalent as governments grew overlarge. Those who want to rule others know that an armed citizenry stands in their way.
