Seems to me Trump has nothing to lose and everything to gain
When they accuse him of baseless claims of election fraud.. his legal team is compelled to provide evidence to the contrary…evidence that half the country was banned from seeing .
When they accuse him of inciting.. his legal team is compelled to provide evidence to the contrary
of which there is ample proof ..but again half the country is unaware.
Then there is THIS theory
Since they can’t legally impeach a normal citizen,
and since they want to impeach Trump,
do you suppose they realize that he actually is the president?

I was thinking in a slightly different direction. It may also give his legal team a place to prove the election was stolen.

Not gonna happen. If he had any solid evidence that the election was stolen he would have already presented it directly to the American public. He doesn’t need the courts to do that. He has nothing and has misled half of the American populace. Not saying he is guilty of the charge, just that he has nothing to prove undeniably that the election was stolen.
