Loading ...Question on Rambus Chartology and charting in general
I noticed on his charts that he usually uses exponential right column charts not linear. Sometimes he does use linear. Is there a rule for when to use one or the other or does he try both and go with whichever makes the prettier chart? Thanks!
He uses Both
Shorter term charts are always linear.
Very Long term charts are best in Log
In between can go either or
And yes pretty charts are good…but it’s all about identifying a pattern and sometimes it’s more clear in log than linear

yes the log is better at times, the size of a candle at $5 with a 10% rise is much different than the $50 candle with a 5% rise , so later in time a 10% rise would look monsterous via linear. Same with the news headlines making big hype when the dow drops 400 pts today, they don’t acct. for the price size. Gotta use log on these small miner charts that have been flatlined for years.
