     Well, like I suggested a few weeks ago, if the original mission statement has been discarded,then it should be revised so that we’ll have no false illusions that this is still fundamentally a site to discuss precious metals market trends and trading ideas…

     I was making a somewhat ironic comment. It is not a democratic matter; it is not a cooperative. It is rather like what the leninists like to call “democratic centralism”, or like a business like a restaurant — ie, those in charge make the rules and change them as they like, and may or may not listen, as they do what they think is best. In this particular case (unlike some others) there is substantial fairness since those in charge put time and money into the site and lots of work. They also bear significant legal responsibility I presume.

     I personally would vote for PM TA only to tell you the truth with a touch of market fundamentals and a touch of TA of markets other than PMs. If there were a side section for other matters or a related website, great.

     But it is not my site. I am here because I’m allowed here by the proprietors. Their rules, their interpretation of the rules, their decisions when to ignore the rules.

           I made an update to the mission statement

           It was a little dated

           There was no recognition of one of our most prolific and star posters Patrick Karim whose name is now added to the roster as well as North and Chartsmaster and Noman…and I am sure to have left some out .

     Wrong Steins

     The last part has been in the mission statement for several months now…shortly after we started to discuss Covid.

     Simon made a suggestion that the mission needed to be updated if we were going down that path.

     The change i made just now was to delete some old posters who are not here and add Patrick North Chartsmaster and Noman to the roster…in order to acknowledge their great contributions to TA

     That final paragraph we are refering to was in YOUR copy of the original post…you just didn’t notice it.

     I took out the copy and paste and just put the link there now.

         Its not slimy

         its an addition to reflect a new dynamic which we have chosen to add….namely discussions of THE topic du jour …Covid-19

         Business Models change ,Circumstances change , people change…so missions change as well.

         When I fist became a dentist, I listed my services…then later I became somewhat more interested in Orthodontics…took the courses and added it to my resume ( mission)…then turns out I hated it so removed it from the mission.

         Reasonable ?

         Steins1, thanks for highlighting the move away from the original mission here. I find myself spending more time these days on other sites which actually DO focus on PMs, trade ideas, etc. If I really wanted to read ad nauseum about COVID-19, there are plenty of other venues to do so. Just saying…

           Couldn’t agree more. There have been a few that have left and I just know to stay away after market hours.
           What I find most disturbing are the slanted views and constant contradictions.
           I wouldn’t waste my time pointing them out though and know it would do no good!
           But hey, who am I, just a Troll as it’s been pointed out.

   I was enjoying reading this whole thread and had nothing to contribute so just read. I don’t agree about “slanted views and constant contradictions” In the less than 3 months I have been here(viewed for a lot longer) I have never seen a site more open to free speech, exchange of ideas(usually documented and supported with facts from a multitude of sources. There have been disagreements but who wants a site with just one side. I can’t believe anyone has been censored or stifeled unless they just choose to attack anything they disagree with without offering reasoned arguments.

     We are presenting the “other Side” of the Covid Story

     Much of it is GOOD NEWS… to counter the 99.9% BAD NEWS and FEAR MONGERING

     We have plenty of those who still support the status quo and believe everything that is said by the WHO and CDC and MSM and all the others…and discount all of the incredible articles posted here which question the status quo.

     No one has ever been censored yet as the discourse has been pretty civil for the most part.

     We wouldn’t hesitate to cancel access if there was disrespect..

     However I must say…the only members /posters pining for an end to the discussion seem to be those trying to defend the status quo.

     Those who are interested in Alternative ideas and studies have no problem with the research presented here…and judging from the emails i get every day…the silent majority of readers are very supportive of our efforts to get to the truth.

     The censorship is not here ! It is from the MSM deleting and attacking anything that doesn’t fit their narrative. So we post it HERE !

     In my view the team that is losing wants to take their ball and go home rather than have to endure more and more common sense in depth scientifically proven facts that dispute the status quo….It makes them uncomfortable. it is just easier to believe in WHO CDC Fauci Gates et al.

     Just do what you are told and everything will be alright.

     Anyhow I can tell you that if some have left the site MORE have started reading it than ever…exponentially actually.

     We may even have to move to a new server Audept has been readying.
