     10’s of thousands of lives could have been saved by early therapy with Hydroxycholoroquine and zinc. FDA, CDC, and WHO can not make any money on generic drugs and supplements. If you want to rely on the “official” response to Covid-19, then you do so at your own peril. To bad all those innocent tens of thousands of dead patients never had the choice.

       100% agree. I like to think I am “fair and balanced”. It only seems like I am on “the other side” all the time, because I have a tendency to question what seems to be sources that are considered fairly shaky.

         However you NEVER EVER question the following sources

         WHO CDC FDA …some people with experience with these “organizations” consider them rather SHADY !

         But you just accept their doctrine without question.

         Your credibility would be higher if you also questioned theirs at least once !

           I don’t believe I have ever quoted the WHO, CDC and FDA here before, but maybe I did. I rarely accept any story that can’t be corroborated by another news source.

       kemmrich is correct about the organization’s stature. It is not a significant organization in medicine. I think I am understating the matter.

       (To be sure, organizations with a great reputation can make horrible blunders and do sleazy things; conversely even the craziest, most vicious, and least reputable organizations — can get things right while others don’t.)

       In any case unless it has some occult multi-trillionaire’s financial support, I would guess its case is not going to get any expedited and blessed trip through the court system. The news of its case is I suppose enjoyable for fans of this sort of thing however.

       It is too bad that dialog and study are overwhelmed by power and big capital.

     I used prednisone and it cured me in a day.

     I didn’t know what I was treating …It was self prescribed…I got lucky.

       It is a rueter’s article, but I will post a link when it pops up on Fox or the drudge. If I post the rueter’s article from the MSN page or other MSM links, most of you dismiss it outright.

       You may have been cured. (My hunch is you were.) However it is a study with an N (number of cases) of 1. Not great statistics. Not great blinding. Not great control of variables.

       I admit, unrigorously, that even back in January I was grateful that there was a stache of steroids available to me. Back in January I thought of looking for a decade-old bottle of hydroxychloroquine someone might have left in a certain house I have access to. I am personally maybe not as rigorous as I pretend to be.

       But it is not a rigorous observation.

       Dexamethasone (w/o looking it up) is an extremely potent — a little bit goes a long way — corticosteroid (antinflammatory + other stuff). Differs from some others in having negligible associated sodium retention. Some basics.

         I read a fair amount about SARS1 as it occurred — as an amateur and as someone who knew people travelling to and from East Asia. I remembered at the time there was much controversy over the use of steroids (cytokine storm sort of thing I think), but they often used it in China. If it turns out that dexamethasone is useful at certain stages in certain types of cases of COVID-19 I in my amateurish way wouldn’t be surprised. I also have vague memories of the use of steroids in MERS, which I followed a little less. Creepy but interesting diseases for the amateur infectious disease buff, all 3 of them, and at least as much as is the case in other infectious diseases the body’s immune system does much of the damage.
