Who was around 2000 lived through the early stages of that great bull run for gold and silver? Did you do in and out… or held steadfast?
10% pullback? Right now, we seem to panic when there is a couple of -2% days
What about silver… who has nerves of steel to go through a 27% correction? What is your plan?

To complete the story one need to plot GSR as well.It is integral part of bull/bear. It is possible GSR was much lower than it is now. May bee economic cycle was different when 02 bull began???
Your’re right, Patrick. I left everything in during the 02 bull and had 2000% gain. Now, unfortunately, I am a nervous nellie. 🙂
Fully wont like this… but the best is just delete goldtent account.. remove twitter account.. and all the noise you didn’t have back in 2000. That will drastically increase your chance of holding.
Ditto North. My years were 2000-2004. Was all in and leveraged, held throughout, then retired and traveled on it. Am back in now, but mainly day or night trading.

I like North had a similar experience !
Just held on.
BUT we also held on through 2008 where we lost 80% plus and then the V bounce where we made it all back and then some AND most held on through the next drop and lost 80- 90% again !
Fortunately I hooked up with Rambus and sold before I lost it in 2012 or so
Thanks for that input… Was goldtent around back then? I would love to better prepare myself emotionally with real and honest experiences. My thoughts going in this bull era is my over-thinking. Sometimes getting lucky is better than smart!

We had people from all over North America come. We were high fiving and it was a magical meeting of the Gold Minds.
North was there ….as was Goldballoon and many others
My partner AUdept ( a tech wizard we was also at this meeting) had the idea of starting our own Goldbug site since most of us were being kicked off the old Gold-Eagle Forum for various “infractions”
We were all making money and thought we were geniuses……
Then came the crash of 08
We had a couple of TA guys …Right North ? but Rambus came in about 2007 and was very bullish…he charted and we bought
it was an amazing run,,,we were rich.
Then in mid 08 Rambus got bearish …but we smart guys laughed him off the board
How dare he post anything but |bullish Charts
He actually warned of a BIG drop and called it to almost exactly the$ on HUI.
BUT nobody listened and we all go killed…Rambus left
Then he emailed me in about early 2011 giving me a heads up that he was seeing yet another big top in Gold…one that may last years !
I believed him and posted it at Goldtent…thats when things went south with my relationship with Goldtent Goldbugs.
SO…I asked AUdept to hook up with Rambus and start Rambus Chartology.
We openedin 2012….just before the BIG drop got going….This Saved my ass…but the goldbugs were furious and one day …literally they ALL left and started thier own site Goldtentoasis
They are still there…..complaining all day every day about manipulation

Interesting times Fully. I was reading Goldtent for several years before I signed up and started posting my own thoughts. Like many, I learned a lot watching events unfold in 2008 and 2011/2012/2013. My advice, for what it’s worth is just buy, hold and buy more on dips. Watch out for a 2008 style event in 2024 and get out around 2030. The charts will give us plenty of clues when to head for the exit door, but I think we have many good years ahead.
