Is silver really a precious metal?
Lots of recent material covered in one podcast… I think silver is BOTH a commodity and a precious metal… and like a chameleon.. it correlation changes to either OR both … confusing us in the progress!
This podcast might clear up a little how it’s behaved previously.. but more importantly, how it’s behaving now.
Excellent podcast, Patrick. Thank you.
As we all well know Bob is Schitzophrenic
Yes. I know now why this makes sense. His Bob’s Schizophrenia is actual his strength!
Interesting Patrick Thanks
I trade PM Miners and Cu miners. I just checked the correlation of the HUI & Ag. IMO Au is still doing the heavy lifting as shown in the GSR. Until the monthly of the GSR turns bearish and drops below your 12 MSMA I’m of the inclination Ag is rising due to fiscal strain in the financial markets. Fwiw if the GSR breaks down in the near future the HUI /Ag correlation should make things interesting for the PM miners. IMO the GSR would most likely drop in current market conditions due to Inflationary pressures as opposed to fiscal strain? The DXY or EURUSD should also react accordingly? 2020 is an election year in the US I believe these markets could get very very interesting and change on a dime.
Appreciate you sharing your opinions and your work

Thanks Red… My next step is to add the US dollar in the equation… and see how the dynamics change… I’ll most likely have to re read many of your precious posts regarding it and see where that leads me.
Great podcast!!! Like it. Let these keep coming.
I’m starting to think silver eventually out performs gold and commodities because it is BOTH a precious metal and a commodity. It gets an initial start after gold sniffs out financial stress… and then gets an additional boost when commodities join the party (because of the “easing” done to avoid the very crisis sniffed out by gold)
Yep — my opinion also!
