     If my memory is correct, MUX has suspended its dividend and had two refinancings in less than half a year. It also has significant exposure to Argentina, which is problematic, and to portion of Mexico with gang problems (it has in fact been robbed in the past).

     “Otto” at IKN has had harsh words about MUX and McEwen, most recently at https://incakolanews.blogspot.com/2019/03/the-emperors-new-clothes-and-mcewen.html , on how whether or not McE draws a salary the refinancings are not helping share price, and that the company’s having gone into production years ago should have meant that the company should be paying for itself without financings. There are further comments to the effect that Black Fox has not been working as planned.

     I do not enjoy passing on negative comments on MUX, and not only because I and family members (at least for now) hold shares. I had a memorable brief interaction with McEwan years ago, back when Goldcorp was a penny stock. He came to town to push Goldcorp to analysts. Since no one was interested in gold stocks then and the small conference room was not going to be close to full, my broker made it so I attend to fill an empty chair. I happened to sit next to McE or vice versa. Even when he learned that I was a naive amateur with only a minuscule amount to invest at most, he treated me as if I were analyst from a major mutual fund. I plowed what I could into GG and did extraordinarily well, and always remembered him for being unnecessarily respectful to me. Therefore I have a hard time being anything but positive MUX, but things do not seem to be going as planned. It will be interesting to see if things are being put in place to make things work extremely well eventually, but for now, apparently no.

       Hmm. Thank you for your thought out, heart felt reply. McEwen was forthright to warn that mux shares may decline maybe five or seven years ago. When he also thought that silver could stay down for some time to come. All which was correct. Man, do I trust him. I guess I will reduce my holding some more. Bottom line is, if your company is crashing, are you obliged to tell every one?? Trekker

   The figure for proven and probable reserves they announced this past week is said to have been, remarkably enough, 1.7 million oz than had been stated to have been present a year before
