“I was going through some old charts tonight looking for something that might be interesting and came across this old chart I used to post during the bull market years which I called, JUST ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL. We’ve discussed many times in the past that a stock does only of one three things, it’s either building out a reversal pattern, consolidation pattern or is in an impulse move either up or down. This chart below shows you a good example of what those three things look like.

I often said that gold built out one of the most beautiful bull markets I ever had the pleasure to trade and that they would probably talk about it in the future , at least from a Chartology perspective. Note the impulse moves between each consolidation pattern which formed one on top of the next one. There were several bullish rising wedges which tells us the market was very strong along with some run of the mill triangles. If you look real close you will see a small green triangle that formed as a halfway pattern between each of the bigger consolidation patterns in the middle of the impulse move.

What is also important to understand when you look at gold’s bull market is the time it took for the bigger consolidation patterns to complete……………………….”
