Although I agree with what the guy always says, I haven’t found him actionable. Nevertheless, I do find it odd that in Venezuela’s case, when their massive hyperinflation kicked in around 2014-2105, their stock market increased about 5X from 5000 to 25000 when measured in Bolivars. However the gold price in Bolivars increased less than 2x, from roughly 8000Bolivar/ounce to 14oooBolivar/ounce. I would have expected the opposite to happen. I wonder if this has any bearing on the experience we may be about to have. But it is why in spite of the removal of stimulus and the raising of interest rates, I continue to keep money in equities.
I’m sorry for not including charts. I haven’t figured out how to post them yet.

I do not know where they got gold in Bolivars at 8000/oz?
In my previous post on the subject:
” the chart above is gold in Venezuelan Bolivars. It moves up exponentially every week. The price has gone from VEF 200 to VEF 75 million in this century and that won’t be the end.”
Bikoo–
Wow that is really something. What is up with goldprice.org???
This chart shows spot gold in bolivars at 92 million! I’m gobsmacked.
Thank you very much for pointing that out.

I think it’s also helpful to point out that people owning Bolivars are able to just buy the U.S dollar or Euro for more stability at this time. When the U.S. dollar gets into trouble there will really be no other currency to turn to for safe haven other than the metals, or a new currency backed thereby.
Consumer Price Index Rises Fastest since February 2017.

Also interesting. During their hyperinflation, gold has out-performed silver.
Yeah, I’m not really set up well for that actuality. Will keep an eye on that issue!
I prefer a slow and steady climb as opposed to wild & crazy predictions. Perish the thought of living in a world where gold is $100k per ounce.
LOL!
You said:” Perish the thought of living in a world where gold is $100k per ounce.”
But living in the thought of Dow 100000 is well acceptable to CNBC???
