Ridiculous Spread
I am trying to unload a rock
It has is up 20% today on negligible volume
The Spread is 1.30 to 1.60
That’s ridiculous
I lowered the ask….but my electronic broker says no can do
I need to call a rep to place the order
sheesh

That low liquidity is what keeps me from buying many of the rock stories. I do own a bunch of them and it is probably more easy to watch paint dry. I think with those wide bid/ask spreads is nothing but “roach motel” syndrome.
There are numerous rocks that I have tried to unload for weeks/months at a price below the last trade, with absolutely no success. I am assuming that some will eventually go to zero, but hopefully one or two will someday announce some results sufficient to provide enough liquidity for me to make an exit from those positions — maybe even with a profit!
Always need to be careful when you’re unloading your rocks 😉
Yeah, those ulta-low volume venture stocks can be tough to buy and sell. Although with today looking like a good turn in the PM market they’ll probably get more liquid over the coming days.
looks like the pot stock buzz is over already, maybe some loose change float our way or who knows where they hit next. Cautious seems to be the flavor for the metals
I think bitcoin’s on the verge of an ugly drop as well, that’s going to free up some hot money (for the guys who see it coming and get out in time lol)
south korea raided the crypto exchanges a few days back and are reigning it in. Supposedly S Korea makes up for a huge amount of trades and money flow

…and the US bond market as well. That’s going to shake things up in a big way, maybe next week.
